Our annual fall Youth Convention is coming up in a little over a month.  This is an event that rotates to different parts of the District.  This year we will be in Havre de Grace, Pastor Buddy Flosser.

Our speaker this year will be Jimmy Toney, from Lexington, KY.  Bro Toney is no stranger to our District.  He preached RIOT for us 2 years ago and Youth Camp 1 year ago.  All participants will be tremendously blessed by his ministry.

The registration cost for this event will be $20 per participant.  That will cover the services and the Afterburner that will take place Friday evening after service.  Pizza and drinks will be provided at the Afterburner.  There will be basketball, volleyball and other great fun!!!

We will be taking a group of young people from CLC to this event. It will be an overnight trip.  As of right now we only have 30 spots available. If you are interested in coming, please sign up starting this Sunday, October 14th.  It will be on a first come first serve basis. It is so much easier to plan when everyone signs up early.

***Parents, your help is needed:  If we do have more than 30 young people come, we will need help with transportation. If you are willing to drive your van or car, please let me know. 

Trip / Cost details

Departure: The vans will be meeting at the Park & Ride at the 270 / Quince Orchard Road intersection in Gaithersburg at 5:30pm on November 2nd. I understand this is tough on a work day, but please look ahead to make the appropriate arrangements.  Departure from the Park & Ride will be 5:45pm.

Service / Event Details: Service on Friday begins at 8:00pm. There will be an Afterburner event following the service. The cost for this is included in registration.  Dress attire for Friday – nice Sunday dress. (Bring a change of clothes for the Afterburner) Saturday service will begin at 10:30am. Dress attire for Saturday – neat causal.

Cost:  We will be eating lunch after service on Saturday. This is NOT included in the total trip cost. Total Trip Cost per person = $45.00 (Includes: Transportation, Registration & Hotel)

In order to lock in your spot, $20 is due on Sunday, October 21st.  The remainder of $25 is due on Sunday, October 28th.
