Everyone, who would like to, wear a pair of Christmas socks. (Kohl’s has some really nice for cheap right now.) This will be fun!

We will be meeting in the Kids Zone Sanctuary since our Youth Room isn’t complete at this time.

Since this is a Sunday PM service day, the lock-in will last until the PM service. Please make arrangements for transportation home after the PM service.

This information is for Christian Life Center members who are interested in going to NAYC.

What is NAYC?  Youth Congress is a bi-annual event that our Organization (United Pentecostal Church) provides for young people all over the world.  15,000 – 18,000 young people will gather together at the in an arena of Convention Center.  We will worship together; we will pray together; and we will respond to the preached word together.   It is an amazing site to see thousands of Apostolic teenagers and young adults gathering for a life-changing experience!

Where is NAYC?  This year Youth Congress will be in Louisville, KY at the KFC Yum! Center.  Address: 1 Arena Plaza, Louisville, KY 40202

When is NAYC?  The date of the event are August 7th – 9th (Wednesday – Saturday).  We, as CLC will be leaving on Tuesday, August 6th and will arrive back on Saturday, August 10th.

Who can come?  9th – 12th Graders will be able to come without their parents.  If anyone one in 7th or 8th Grade would like to come, their parent or a parent responsible for them will need to attend as well.

What is the cost?  This year’s cost for Youth Congress will be $190.00

What does the cost cover?  The $190 for Youth Congress will cover: Transportation and Hotel.  (It will not cover registration.  Each participant will need to register themselves online or onsite at NAYC.  And it will not cover food cost.)

How much is Registration and how do I register?  There are 3 levels of registration: 1) Early bird: $30 by May 10th, 2) Pre-Registration: $40 by June 14th, 3) Registration: $50 by July 12th (this is also the cost when you registration onsite at Congress).  Go to this link to register:  **Please let me know if / when you register.

When is the money due?  The payments will be in 2 parts of $95.  The first $95 will be due May 26th.  The second payment of $95 will be due July 7th.  (At this time is when I will need to make any necessary adjustments to the amount hotel rooms we will need.**Reminder: Registration cost is not included in this amount.  You will need to go online (info above) and register.

What will the schedule be?  We will arrive in Louisville Tuesday evening.  We will get checked in to the hotel, then go out to eat together.  On Wednesday morning we will go to a nearby mall and hang out there for a few hours.  Services start Wednesday evening.  The schedule is pretty full all day Thursday and Friday.  If you want to see the NAYC schedule, go to this link:

How much additional money should I bring?  The best way to answer this is to give you our day schedule:  Tuesday – we will stop for lunch on the way, and then eat dinner that night.  Wednesday – Continental Breakfast at the hotel.  We will go to a local mall, shop and eat lunch there, then eat a meal after church that night.  Thursday & Friday – Continental Breakfast at the hotel.  We will be in sessions most of the morning into the afternoon.  We will go grab some lunch after the sessions, and then eat a meal after church that evening.  Saturday – Continental Breakfast at the hotel.  We will stop for lunch while traveling back home.

Holiday Youth Convention
December 27th – 29th, 2012

Parent/Guardian and/or Young Person:

December 27th – 29th we will be having a VA/MD/DC Youth Event, called Holiday Youth Convention (HYC). This is an annual event for young people that Virginia has started and has had very much success. Last year MD.DC joined in with them and we are doing the same again this year to create a combined event that will bring teenagers and young adults together from around the surrounding states. It will be a wonderful event that YOU (young person) don’t want to miss; and YOU (parent/guardian) don’t want your child to miss!!!

This is a three (3) day / two (2) night trip. We will have adequate adult supervision. We will be meeting at The Park & Ride at 11:30am on Thursday (12.27.2012). We need to leave by 12noon, go to the hotel (address below), get checked in, grab some food and then come back to the hotel to get ready for service. We will arrive back at The Park & Ride on Saturday (12.29.2012) around 2:00pm.

Total Trip Cost: $65/per person. This will be due on December 16th. If you are not able to turn it in at that time, please communicate with me. It will be a “first come, first serve” basis. The trip will cover transportation and hotel. TRIP COST DOES NOT INCLUDE REGISTRATION!!!

Registration: Please go online ( to register. The Registration cost is $65.00 (+ $4.29 processing fee). You can register online as late as the date of the event. You can also register at the door, which will be the same price. WHEN YOU REGISTER, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

What Is AYC? 

Mission Statement

Apostolic Youth Corps (AYC) will facilitate the pairing of ministry-minded Pentecostal youth and North American and international sites which need and desire evangelism assistance. AYC will provide evangelism opportunities within North America or international sites. AYC candidates will assist Foreign Missionaries, Home Missionaries, Campus Ministry International, Global Campus Ministries, Metro Evangelism, and/or Multi-Cultural ministry.

Age Requirements

AYC Global short term trips are open to applicants 17-35 years of age. AYC North America short term trips are open to applicants 16-35 years of age. Married applicants must travel with their spouse. Applicants with dependent children will not be considered.

Application Process

AYC 2013 will introduce a new online-only application process, which will go live on November 1st, 2012. Candidates for AYC will be required to complete an online application, compose an essay, and submit various reference recommendations prior to the application deadline of February 1st for Global trips, and March 1st for North American trips. There is an application fee of $100. The application must have the approval of the candidate’s pastor and is evaluated by the General Youth President. Each AYC participant must raise his/her own budget. Support may be acquired from relatives, friends, and the local church. However, applicants are not allowed to itinerate from church to church as done by career missionaries. All funds must be U.S. All budgets are subject to change and include international airfare (AYC North America trips do not include airfare), hotel stays, meals, medical insurance coverage, visas (if required), transportation, sightseeing, and insurance expenses. Budgets do not include passports, immunizations, luggage fees, souvenirs, or airfare to and from the North American departure city (for AYC Global trips). The departure city is determined after the application deadline.

Our annual fall Youth Convention is coming up in a little over a month.  This is an event that rotates to different parts of the District.  This year we will be in Havre de Grace, Pastor Buddy Flosser.

Our speaker this year will be Jimmy Toney, from Lexington, KY.  Bro Toney is no stranger to our District.  He preached RIOT for us 2 years ago and Youth Camp 1 year ago.  All participants will be tremendously blessed by his ministry.

The registration cost for this event will be $20 per participant.  That will cover the services and the Afterburner that will take place Friday evening after service.  Pizza and drinks will be provided at the Afterburner.  There will be basketball, volleyball and other great fun!!!

We will be taking a group of young people from CLC to this event. It will be an overnight trip.  As of right now we only have 30 spots available. If you are interested in coming, please sign up starting this Sunday, October 14th.  It will be on a first come first serve basis. It is so much easier to plan when everyone signs up early.

***Parents, your help is needed:  If we do have more than 30 young people come, we will need help with transportation. If you are willing to drive your van or car, please let me know. 

Trip / Cost details

Departure: The vans will be meeting at the Park & Ride at the 270 / Quince Orchard Road intersection in Gaithersburg at 5:30pm on November 2nd. I understand this is tough on a work day, but please look ahead to make the appropriate arrangements.  Departure from the Park & Ride will be 5:45pm.

Service / Event Details: Service on Friday begins at 8:00pm. There will be an Afterburner event following the service. The cost for this is included in registration.  Dress attire for Friday – nice Sunday dress. (Bring a change of clothes for the Afterburner) Saturday service will begin at 10:30am. Dress attire for Saturday – neat causal.

Cost:  We will be eating lunch after service on Saturday. This is NOT included in the total trip cost. Total Trip Cost per person = $45.00 (Includes: Transportation, Registration & Hotel)

In order to lock in your spot, $20 is due on Sunday, October 21st.  The remainder of $25 is due on Sunday, October 28th.
